FNAF Rewritten 87 Codes

Secret codes, easter eggs, and hidden content

Shadow Bonnie Sprites

Shadow Bonnie appears as a purple/dark sprite exclusively during the Good Ending route on Night 5. These sprites are not traditional easter eggs but rather gameplay obstacles placed by The Puppet to sabotage your efforts.

Locations

  • Blocking vital camera feeds (including where Toy Freddy appears)
  • Covering the Prize Corner camera view
  • Obstructing the music box Wind-up button
  • Hiding the Flashlight button

To remove these sprites, simply click on them. They will disappear, restoring access to the blocked element. Quick reflexes are essential as you must balance removing these obstacles while managing all active animatronics.

Arcade Cabinet Secrets

Hidden Glitch Wall

In the first arcade cabinet minigame (the balloon collecting car game), there's a hidden glitch in one of the walls. If you investigate this glitch, you'll be transported to a secret minigame depicting Charlotte Emily's death outside the pizzeria.

Puppet Interruptions

The Puppet directly interrupts the minigames to confront you. These aren't just cutscenes - they're dynamic story elements that change based on how many arcade machines you've completed. Pay attention to her dialogue as it reveals critical lore.

Completion Rewards

Completing all four arcade machines unlocks exclusive story content and The Puppet's final confrontation. This is required for the Good Ending and provides the most complete narrative experience.

Audio Easter Eggs

Phone Guy Voice Acting

The Phone Guy in FNAF Rewritten 87 is voiced by George2D, bringing a new personality to the classic character. Listen carefully to his calls for hints about animatronic behaviors and subtle story clues.

Gen 2 Freddy Voice

Toy Freddy is voiced by Strictly_silly, adding character to his laugh that signals he's about to sabotage the breaker boxes. This audio cue is essential for gameplay and adds personality to the animatronic.

Ambient Sounds

Throughout the nights, you can hear whispers and static on the camera monitors. Jeremy mentions hearing these in his employee handbook. Pay attention to these sounds as they may hint at paranormal activity beyond the animatronics.

Visual Easter Eggs

Opening Cutscene

The opening cutscene shows William Afton in a Spring Bonnie costume luring a child. This directly connects to the arcade machine revelations and establishes the dark backstory before gameplay even begins.

Animatronic Designs

The Gen 1 (Withered) animatronics feature unique designs with disturbing details like visible endoskeletons, torn fabric, and missing parts. These visual elements aren't just aesthetic - they tell the story of their deterioration after the 1986 location closed.

The Mangle Post-Bite

After the Bite of '87 sequence, The Mangle's design shows visible blood in her jaw mechanism. This visual confirmation of her role in the incident is a disturbing detail that adds weight to the game's horror.

Rare Events

Note: The following rare events are speculated based on FNAF traditions. The Overhaul Part 1 update may have added or changed these elements. Community confirmation is pending.

Golden Freddy

While not confirmed in the Overhaul Part 1, Golden Freddy (associated with Cassidy Johnson in the lore) may appear as a rare hallucination or easter egg. In the original FNAF 2, Golden Freddy could appear in the office and crash the game.

Shadow Freddy

Shadow Freddy occasionally appeared in the Parts & Service room in the original FNAF 2. Given that Shadow Bonnie sprites are present in the Overhaul, Shadow Freddy may also appear as a rare event in specific camera locations.

Newspaper Clippings

Ending sequences in FNAF games traditionally show newspaper clippings. Check the endings carefully for hidden details about the missing children incident, the restaurant's closure, and the Bite of '87.
