FNAF Rewritten 87 Guide

Complete walkthrough and survival strategies for all nights

General Strategies

Priority Management

  • Music Box First: Always keep The Puppet's music box wound. This is your #1 priority throughout every night.
  • Check Breaker Boxes: Listen for Toy Freddy's laugh and immediately locate him on camera to prevent power outages.
  • Monitor Vents: Regularly check Party Room 3 (right vent) and the Kitchen area (left vent) for incoming animatronics.
  • Conserve Power: Don't stay on cameras longer than necessary. Quick checks are more efficient.

Essential Techniques

  • Camera Rotation: Develop a camera checking pattern - Prize Corner → Breaker Boxes → Vents → Hallway
  • Sound Cues: Listen carefully for audio cues like footsteps, laughing, and vent crawling sounds
  • Mask Timing: Put on the Freddy Mask as soon as you see an animatronic in your office
  • Flashlight Use: Use flashlight only when necessary - for Foxy in the hallway and Balloon Boy in vents
Night 1 - Tutorial Night

Active Animatronics: Gen 2 Bonnie, Gen 2 Chica, Gen 2 Freddy, The Puppet

Strategy

  • This night is relatively easy and serves as a tutorial for basic mechanics
  • Focus on learning camera locations and animatronic movement patterns
  • Wind the music box every 10-15 seconds
  • When you hear Toy Freddy laugh, check all green-marked breaker box cameras
  • If you see Gen 2 Bonnie on Party Room 3 camera, he's about to enter the right vent
  • If Gen 2 Chica reaches the Kitchen, prepare for her to come through the left vent
  • Put on the Freddy Mask when either appears in your office
Night 2 - Withered Foxy Arrives

Active: Gen 2 Bonnie, Gen 2 Chica, Gen 2 Freddy, Gen 1 Foxy, The Puppet

Strategy

  • Continue Night 1 strategies but add hallway monitoring for Withered Foxy
  • When you hear heavy footsteps, check the center hallway
  • If you see Foxy in the hallway, immediately shine your flashlight on him to send him back
  • Don't shine the flashlight if no one is there - it wastes time
  • Balance between winding the music box and checking for Foxy
  • The Toy animatronics are slightly more aggressive than Night 1
Night 3 - The Mangle & Withered Animatronics

Active: All previous + The Mangle, Gen 1 Bonnie, Gen 1 Chica

Strategy

  • Night difficulty significantly increases with multiple simultaneous threats
  • The Mangle moves unpredictably - track it through cameras carefully
  • When The Mangle enters your office, it will lunge down twice - put on mask immediately
  • Gen 1 Bonnie appears on the left side of center hallway, Gen 1 Chica on the right
  • Both Withered animatronics require the Freddy Mask when they enter the office
  • Prioritize music box → Toy Freddy → hallway checks → vent checks
  • Stay calm when multiple animatronics are active simultaneously
Night 4 - Full Cast

Active: All animatronics at highest aggression

Strategy

  • All animatronics are now active - this is where mastery of basics is essential
  • Balloon Boy appears in either the left or right vent
  • Listen for BB's voice direction and shine flashlight in that vent to repel him
  • If BB enters your office, he disables your flashlight temporarily
  • Gen 1 Freddy moves slowly but requires mask when he reaches your office
  • Use efficient camera patterns - don't check every camera every time
  • Learn to recognize which animatronics need immediate attention vs. passive monitoring
Night 5 - Maximum Difficulty

Active: All animatronics at highest aggression

Strategy

  • This is the most challenging night requiring near-perfect execution
  • Music box drains faster - check Prize Corner more frequently
  • Animatronics move much faster and more aggressively
  • Multiple animatronics will often be in your office simultaneously
  • Stay on Prize Corner camera when possible to wind music box efficiently
  • Quick camera flips are essential - don't linger on any view
  • If power goes out, you will likely lose - prevent Toy Freddy at all costs
Advanced Tips
  • Audio is Key: Play with headphones to better hear directional audio cues for animatronic positions
  • Memory Tracking: Mentally track which animatronics are active and their last known positions
  • Rhythm Development: Create a consistent checking rhythm rather than random camera flipping
  • Stay Calm: Panic leads to mistakes. If you miss something, refocus on priorities
  • Practice Runs: Use early nights to practice efficient camera patterns and reaction timing
  • Shadow Bonnie Sprites: When pursuing the Good Ending, be prepared for visual interference and click sprites quickly
  • Power Management: If Toy Freddy cuts power, fixing breaker boxes while defending yourself is extremely difficult
